Speckfest from May 22 – 25, 2008

For the weekend of May 22 – 25 2008, Piazza Walther, in the picturesque historic centre of Bolzano, will be devoted to the typical South Tyrolean Speck.

The tradition, customs, and popular culture of South Tyrol are in the forefront of the entire festival, alongside Speck there will be many other local products such as wine, bread, cheese, apples and asparagus. The South Tyrolean farmers' association will be at the event and will inform visitors about special deals at holiday farms, while introducing the local “hay baths”.

Not only by itself...

Speck isn´t only good to be eaten just on a slice of bread.
