wein.kaltern: quality wines from Kaltern
Kaltern is a typical wine-village in Southern South Tyrol. Situated near Kalterersee Lake, framed by wide and gently undulating vineyards, the wine-making tradition lived and the wine culture is respected in everyday life.
To monitor the quality of wines from Kaltern and to ensure it, the wine growers of Kaltern built a network called wein.kaltern.
In spring wein.kaltern offers three interesting events for lovers of a good drop. The first is "Walk, Experience, Enjoy": Wine lovers and their families are invited to an eventful spring day in Kaltern and in wine cellars. There are culinary delicacies, music and art, too. Sunday 22 April 2008 from 10 am to 20 pm.
The second, very popular wine event is the "Culinary Festival" on 6 and 7 June 2008, in addition to good wines also South Tyrolean and Mediterranean delicacies.
On June 14, 2008 will take place, however, the "Night of the open cellar" in Kaltern. The "Night of the open cellar" is also the final event of the celebrated wine road weeks.
